The project
Since the Lycée des Arts et Métiers is the only true art school in Luxembourg, it was obvious for us to participate in Esch2022. Furthermore, the question of sustainability and responsible use of resources is a concern that is not foreign to our teaching.
Students are invited to reflect on their world, and to guide their research, four themes have been established: what remains, what moves, what transforms, and what will disappear.
Implementation
We are participating in three events, and the elements that will be exhibited are currently in the production phase, with some already completed. With these three installations in public spaces, we hope to reach a broad audience. But above all, we want to show that our young people are more involved and aware than it sometimes seems.
Let’s listen more to our youth and trust them more.

Our students even agree to come work on the projects outside of class hours and respect the deadlines we have set. We also note that interdisciplinarity plays an important role in the execution of this project.
In general, we have received very positive feedback and a lot of support from all the partners we have contacted.

Objective
Young people, meaning our students, motivate us and constantly push us to question ourselves. Thus, we also have a concrete vision for the organization of education in the years to come: an education that puts young people at the center and allows them to develop at their own pace in a school open to the world.
Through this approach, we also want to make our young people understand that there are as many possibilities as there are ideas, and that if you really want to achieve a goal, there is always a path that leads to it.
