Œuvre supports a wide variety of cultural initiatives through its "Culture and Creation Award" fund. It funds competitions, residencies, professional-training workshops and scholarships to foster creativity and innovation.

The objective of this fund is to discover and promote talented artists and creatives. In bestowing this award, Luxembourg non-profit associations can offer winners space to create, resources and professional support with promoting their work to the public. This support includes communication, promotion, upskilling and project development.

To receive financial assistance from the fund, initiatives must meet the following criteria:

  • they must be organised by a Luxembourg non-profit association;
  • they must be aimed at all artistic and creative disciplines and practices;
  • they must offer an award of a maximum of €25,000, with the possibility of additional funding to cover organisational and support costs;
  • they must stipulate that the award must be invested in a creative project;
  • they must be intended for a Luxembourg national or a person who has a connection to Luxembourg;
  • they must be of interest to the public.

Non-profit associations that would like to create awards are eligible to apply for a "Culture and Creation Award" grant.

Initiatives that include a social, environmental, health and sports, or heritage and remembrance component, and those that take into account the criteria of the stART-up fund (for people below the age of 36), are especially encouraged.

Winners are selected by a jury of professionals. Œuvre is represented on this jury, as either an observer or a member.

An agreement between the non-profit association and the winner must outline the terms and conditions of the award. A copy of this agreement is sent to Œuvre.

The name of the award must be connected to Œuvre (or, as applicable, to the stART-up fund), and the wording "supported by Œuvre / the stART-up fund" should appear on the award.
