Educate, Cultivate, Raise Awareness – this is the motto of Kass-Haff, a biodynamic educational farm in Rollingen. Committed to sustainable and responsible agriculture, the farm offers a unique experience that reconnects people of all ages with nature, animals, and agricultural know-how.

An Open Space for Education and Community Engagement

Originally a family farm, Kass-Haff became a Social Impact Society (SIS) in 2023. More than just an agricultural production site, it operates as a Tiers-Lieu, facilitating educational visits, hands-on workshops, and cultural events. Throughout the year, schools, families, and visitors come to explore farm-related professions, learn about organic farming principles, and experience the interconnectedness of livestock, gardening, and environmental stewardship.

A Project Born from a Realization

For founders Tom Kass and Anja Staudenmayer, the human connection to nature has gradually been lost. To address this, they created an educational farm where visitors can understand the importance of sustainable agriculture and animal welfare.

A Farm in Constant Evolution

For over 20 years, Kass-Haff has evolved to meet social and environmental needs. Transitioning from a family farm to a social enterprise, it has developed strong partnerships with BioG, Naturata, and the Waldorf School. Today, the farm offers:

Local organic production, with direct sales on-site.
Educational programs, raising awareness among younger generations.
Social and cultural engagement, welcoming various community events.

Challenges and Future Ambitions

Balancing education, ecology, and agriculture is an ongoing challenge. Ensuring stable funding and raising public awareness about the importance of sustainable farming remain key priorities. By diversifying activities and strengthening local partnerships, Kass-Haff continues to work towards its goal: becoming a model for sustainable farming and environmental education in Luxembourg.

A Meaningful Impact on the Community

One of Kass-Haff’s greatest achievements is its positive impact on visitors, especially children. A defining moment? Seeing a group of students leave the farm with concrete ideas on sustainable agriculture and responsible food choices after a hands-on learning experience. These interactions are central to Kass-Haff’s mission: passing on values and knowledge for a more sustainable future.
